Director of the Northwest Centre for Leadership Development (NCLD)

Dr. Lyle SchragDr. Lyle Schrag is the first Director of the Northwest Centre for Fellowship Leadership Development at the Northwest Baptist Seminary. His responsibilities are to create a collaborative process between the resources of the Seminary and the congregations of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches.for the development of mature Christian leaders. The program under development includes research in areas of Spiritual formation, Leadership emergent theory, and innovative ministry training applications. Dr. Schrag brings a wealth of experience to this position. He has served as a short-term missionary with the Slavic Gospel Association, the director of the Office of Christian Outreach at Wheaton College, and for 24 years as the Senior Pastor in churches in the Chicago-land and Vancouver areas. His denominational work includes serving on the board of foreign missions with the Conservative Baptist Association, and for six years on the General Council of the North American Baptist Conference. He holds degrees from Wheaton College, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Wheaton College Graduate School, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In joining the staff of the Northwest Baptist Seminary, he has also been appointed as an adjunct professor at the Associated Canadian Theological Seminaries at Trinity Western University.
